Bacon Jalapeno Creamed Corn

This dish is a crazy good side that’ll have everyone asking for seconds! It will elevate all your favorite meals as an upscale, exceptional side dish that compliments the meals that are on trend currently. This creamed corn recipe is creamy, rich, and decadent. It doesn’t hurt that there is bacon and jalapeno in the mix too. One bite and your customers will be hooked!

Ingredients

4 strips of bacon cooked & chopped

1 sweet onion or yellow onion

1 jalapeno pepper minced or diced

1 teaspoon chopped garlic (or powder)

15 oz. Creamed Style Corn

2 teaspoons of sugar

salt and pepper to taste

Method

1. Start by cooking your bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until it’s nice and crispy.

2. Transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to cool. Once it’s cool enough to touch, chop the bacon on a cutting board.

3. Take the leftover bacon grease and pour all but 2 tablespoons out of the skillet. Then add the onion, garlic, and jalapeno to the bacon grease still in the pan. Sauté the veggies for about 5 to 8 minutes until the onions become soft.

4. Be sure to stir everything often so the garlic doesn’t burn. Next add the creamed style corn to your skillet. Stir the bacon in with the creamed corn until well combined.

5. This recipe serves 4 people.
