Sloppy Joe stew is a clever take on the world-famous sandwich. Simply put, it’s a Sloppy Joe but without the sandwich. An easy, weeknight stew recipe for the whole family to love!
2 tbsp olive oil
1 large yellow onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
2 pounds lean ground beef
2 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp black pepper
2½ cups beef broth
2 (10.5 oz) cans condensed tomato soup
2 tsp worcestershire sauce
1 – 2 tsp hot sauce
1 (15.25 oz) can Lodi Whole Kernel Corn, drained
1 tsp smoked paprika
1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium high heat. Add in the diced onions and peppers cooking until they are slightly softened, about 5 minutes.
2. Add in the ground beef, garlic, salt and pepper and cook, stirring frequently, until the meat is no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
3. Add in the broth, worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, soup, corn, and smoked paprika, stirring to combine.
4. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour uncovered, stirring occasionally until thickened and flavors are combined.
5. Serve warm.
